Artist Shannon Finley at Bischoff/Weiss
Through an intensive process, Finley applies numerous, translucent layers of acrylic paint and industrial polymers onto canvas with specially designed palette knives. The results offer prism-like surfaces whose subtle nuances chronicle the build up of the material itself.
Shannon Finley b. 1974, Ontario, Canada, lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He received his BFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax in 1999. Current exhibitions; BISCHOFF/WEISS, London (Solo show), Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (Group show).
